I'm an old guy, so I'm told but I don't feel like it. My wife, son, and I all enjoy the bike race scene, both on and off road. I have been riding bicycles steadily for the past 10 years. I had a mountain bike longer but could rarely find the time to ride. I had never even heard of mountain biking until 1992 when a coworker told me about it and I knew it was for me. Soon after hitting the trails, I became interested in how they came into being. I have participated in 3 IMBA trail schools and I'm still learning about trails every time I work on or build a new section. I head up the maintenance and continuing developing of Col. Francis Beatty. I also enjoy skiing and I'm considered to be a beer snob by those in the know.
