LNSP & USNWC Trail Status

This is pretty much a no-brainer, but I went ahead and called to confirm that:

-Lake Norman State Park has CLOSED the trail

-USNWC has CLOSED Catawba

Both due to the decent amounts of rain they are getting and they mentioned they expect to keep them closed possibly through most of Saturday 5/5/07, due to the current forecasts.

I don't want to get up in anyone's business who usually manages the postings, but I was concerned when I noticed they were both showing as "Open" as of today 1:30p on the TTB home page.

He buddy, mind your own business  Wink

We only post them as opened or closed after we get a email stating the conditions...We're only as good as they are to inform us, but I've taken your word on it and now show both as being closed...

Thanks for the leg work, Eric...

When I was a kid, I prayed for a bicycle.  When I learned it didn't work that way, I stole one and asked God to forgive me...

YOU DA MAN, ELVIS!  I'm just a squirrel...

LNSP said "Thank you!" for checking in...she said Ranger Casey had it on his list to give you a call to switch it.  She also said she regretted that someone had called this morning from Fort Mill to confirm if the trail actually was open...she told him "Yes" and about 10-15 min later the bottom fell out and they had to close.
So, to "Fort Mill" on behalf of LNSP...Sorry 'bout that!!!
Good excuse to hit the Mooresville Hooters on the way back to SC.   Wink

USNWC said they had been closed since this AM, but they weren't aware their voice mail box update didn't take and it was still giving a message of "Open" from Wednesday.
