Dear Lance and Mike,

On behalf of the Tarheel Trailblazers I want to thank you both for allowing the Trailblazers to host the Riverfront Classic mountain bike race at the US National Whitewater Center last week. 

This annual benefit race for the Tarheel Trailblazers has been held at the Whitewater site for over 10 years and continues to be one of our major fundraisers. With the Center’s help, this year’s race raised over $3,000 for the organization. We had 165 participants and with volunteers and family members, we brought approximately 200 people to the Center for the event. Because this race is part of the regional Southern Classic Series, it attracts many participants from outside the immediate Charlotte area. Additionally, our volunteers put in over 15 hours of trail maintenance in preparation for the event. I hope you found that we left the property clean and debris-free.

We hope to have the opportunity to continue this legacy in future years. We feel we have a great working relationship with the US National Whitewater Center and look forward to making that relationship even stronger.
