January 1st Ride at Lake Norman (Read 10700 times)

	Because our normal first Thursday of the month meeting date falls on New Years day, WE WILL NOT HAVE A MEETING AT FUEL PIZZA on January 1. WE WILL HOWEVER have a club ride at Lake Norman State Park on January 1st @ 1:00 instead! This will be the first day that the trail direction is reversed for the new year and a good opportunity to have a club gathering OTHER than a normal monthly meeting. Don't go too overboard on New Year's eve and look forward to seeing a large group on the 1st. Further details to follow.

	5 or 6 AM sounds good to me.... I will probably fall asleep in the rcliner around 9 or 9:30 on New Years eve. Count me in for what ever time ya'll come up with. Gramps

	Sorry for the delay on the start time. Lots going on with the holidays. New Years Day Ride at Lake Norman State Park will start at 1pm, food starting around 3pm. We'd also like to have a kids ride, so please think about bringing out the kids and all those shiny new bikes they got for Christmas. Love to see the kids group as big as the adults. We'll keep watch on the weather and post updates/adjustments as needed. Now, to help our sponsor, Cool Breeze Cyclery & Trek Bicycle Store Charlotte plan for how much food to bring, could I get some posts on who's interested and how many in your party? We''ll plan for a certain amount, but the more info we have the better.

	One thing I forgot....This is for members and non members. If you use this forum and aren't a member, this is an invitation to come out and meet some of us....or just come out and ride whether you're a member or not.

	ok weather permitting, looks like it will be me +2 riders. one of them is intermeidate, and one (My GF a beginner) do not know if that matters.
