What's the abv on the Hopslam? If I'm not mistaken (which I often am) it was pretty high according to Beer Advocate. I look forward to getting my hands on some. I'm sorry, but to me right now,  Duck Rabbit milk stout is the creamiest, coffiest, yummiest creation in the whole wide world! Amen.

Preach on brotha. That was my favorite for a while as well.

Hopslam is 10% ABV.

=trouble.

The Hopslam is so good it's sick...IMHO of course....here's why...at 10%, which is a little higher than most of my beloved Belgian Triples (Karmeliet..Karmeliet...Karmeliet), it drinks crazy good ice cold out of the fridge like a 5%, and also crazy good if you let it warm up to a good 50-55 degree temp like a Triple.

The last time I didn't have a Hopslam for the super bowl was before they lifted the puritan beer laws in NC, and I had to home brew anything above 6% or so. I

I don't know if I had a Duck Rabbit or not but I had a milk stout last week that Supercusty got me that was super yummy!  I've become a Stout-a-holic!

BTW it takes almost 7 minutes to completely load this thread on my computer and I realized it was started back in October of 2009!!!

We went to Taco Mac in South Park last night.  If you like beer I highly recommend that place.  Over 140 beers on tap and 200 different bottled beers.  The food was just ok, and as expected pretty crowded on a Friday night.  I had the Atwater Vanilla Java Porter and I think it crushes Duck Rabbit's Milk Stout (which they have on tap as well.)

I tried the Vanilla Java Porter about two weeks ago with great anticipation but found it to have an akward finish. I thought by the second or third one it would be diminished but it just didn't float my boat.

Advice:

Upgrade to DSL. Dial up is a thing of the past my friend.

Oh, but it does give you time to grab another MooHoo out of the fridge while you wait for this to load...so that's a positive.

I had my first Backwoods Bastard today and it was a good beer. If you like bourbon, that one's for you. 10.5% too. Definetly a sipper.

Finished off last night with my Bison's organic chocolate stout.  Not quite as smooth as I was expecting, but a nice finish.

PainkillerSPE, Agreed great brew. They seem to have this on tap a lot at Duckworths.

Thank goodness I'm getting a separation/divorce soon because I've found a new love. Young's Double Chocolate Stout! This may also put a damper on my plans to drop 20 lbs before the spring thaw... Cheesy
