tis the season for Scottish Ales. Been on the wagon for a couple of months. People had always said that the beer was to blame for my getting fat. Seeing as I have not lost much, I guess it isn't the beer Angry

Anyone come across any of the Harpoon UFO Raspberry Hefeweizen?  I Haven't seen it yet this summer and it seems to have become less available over the last couple years.  I use to be able to get it at Harris Teeter and Total Wine (South Park or Independence), but I haven't seen it at those stores in a couple years.  Frugal MacDoogal had it last year but nothing yet this year.  If anyone has seen it around please let me know!

On a some what related note I have been to Kickstands on Central Ave twice in the past month or so.  They have a pretty decent selection of draft beers, good burgers and random bike stuff on the walls and TVs.

It is not the Pisgah Brewing company where it is a few stools at a bike shop, but I would go there before I hit Fox N Hound.

Dogfish head punkin ale is pretty good.  I'm stoked for all the oktoberfest brews that are on the shelves.  I saw a new New Castle at the store the other day, I'm a little apprehensive about trying it, says it's a red and all I can think about is when I got wasted on Killians in college and...well I'll leave the gross parts out.  It wasn't good though.

+1 on the Dogfish Punkin' Ale. By far my fave of the season although it seems like the fall brews are coming out early this year? I saw Hoptober at the Teeter the other day. Smiley

I like Dogfish head, but Southern Tier Pumpking is hands down the best.

Southern Tier Pumking is like a dessert in a bottle.

A few other bombers to try that out now are from Stone....15th Anniversary, Imperial Russian Stout (regular & Belgo Anise)...good stuff!

Just about anything Lagunitas (I lived 20 minutes from the brewery & drank it like crazy back in high school) is great....I had my wife pick up a case of Undercover on a recent trip back to Tallahassee (we moved up here back in January from Tally) since the selection around here is hit or miss for Lagunitas.

Oh Yeah! Look at all that Creme Brulee

Total Wine in Huntersville received a huge shipment of Southern Tier product yesterday.

Unfortunately no Pumpking.  I had them check and they do not plan on getting any in.

Thanks for checking on the Southern Tier Pumpkin, I think Total Wine on Providence said they were on order and expected today.

Also looking for any pumpkins on draft here in CLT. Had the Weyerbacher Pumpkin at the Pour House in Greensboro, tasty!
