One of my favorite brewers, Left Hand Brewing.  Here are several of their fares that I find tasty...

Fade To Black  Vol. 1 and 2.  Haven't tried Vol's 3 and 4 yet.

(You need to Login or Register to view media files and links)

Good JuJu is just a plain all around good brew.  Brewed with ginger root, nice lite ale for the Summer time.

(You need to Login or Register to view media files and links)

Polestar Pilsner.  If you like pilsners, you'll like this.

(You need to Login or Register to view media files and links)

Saw Tooth Ale.  Another nice well rounded Ale for any season.

(You need to Login or Register to view media files and links)

Milk Stout.  Used to be my all time favorite!

(You need to Login or Register to view media files and links)

...Until I drank the Milk Stout Nitro!

(You need to Login or Register to view media files and links)

Youngs Double Chocolate Stout was what started me on Stouts and dark beers.

One last one from New Holland Brewing.  Dragon's Milk Bourbon Barrel Stout in a 22 oz.

So many tasty brews. I have to cut way down. Lose some lbs Sad Why oh Why did they have to open a Osker Blues in Brevard Roll Eyes Now Wine Maestro in DownTown Statesville (Good location for North Chapter meeting) is building a taproom with 7 taps Huh There was a rumor floating  around, that 21st Amendment was opening in Asheville. If it was more then a rumor, I would have to just give in to the brew and be a hippyfatguy Cheesy

I would propose a regular bike and brew ride.

Simple. Ride a local trail then hit up a local brewery or tap room.

[quote author=4E4941794047544B4354260 link=1255730912/2#2 date=1255742120]On a recent road trip traveling through Utah, found a beer called Polygamy Porter.  Says on the bottle, "why only have one".  Got a chuckle out of that one.[/quote

Makes sense with Utah 3.2 beer.  Can't have fun after 1, 2,3,4,5 - ok 6 is getting good but where is the bathroom? Lips Sealed

Can't find the Bells Hopslam in South Charlotte. Total Wine in Ballantyne sold out as well. Let me know if there are any 6 packs anywhere that I can pick up please.

Duckworths has this on tap, was fortunate enough to get my fill yesterday. They also had individual bottles for sale at $7 a pop, too much for this guy to fork out.

The $hit cost like $25 a six. So $7 doesn't seem so far fetched. Order a case from Brusin in Asheville, and have it shipped

Earth Fare - Boone · Beer Store

12oz. 6 Pack Bottles for $16.99 Great price if they have any left

Tax included I paid $21.44 for a six of the Hopslam at Total Wine in Huntersville. I had one last night, and it's great, but I think I've got to the point Screaming Knees mentioned, not sure it's THAT good.

When I think about being able to get Belles Two Hearted for $10-$12 a six, and Sierra Nevado Torpedo for $12  a 12 pack (11.99+ tax at Total Wine), the Slam is loosing a bit of it's luster.

Not that anyone cares, but myself and another beer geek in the club had a blind IPA taste test administered by our wifes a few years back, and it included the likes of Hopslam, Two Hearted, Ruination, Racer 5, and Dogfishhead. We were pretty good at picking which beer was which, but the best overall score was Two Hearted, not Hopslam which came in a close 2nd. It was a pretty fun thing to do, and keeping it to 4-5 quality IPAs between two people kept the moderation in check...

Crazy selection at Ass Clown in Cornelius but I'm typically a hopped up guy but I bought a growler of smoked bacon black for the superbowl and it wasnt bad.  Had to own the jug.  my new fave is Triple C Brewery in SouthEnd.  they have an IPA called Baby Maker that would rank way up there.

Tried to post a pic but I guess I'm tech challenged

I think I agree with EAutry and the Hopslam limited production has caused it to be over hyped and over priced.  Too many good IPA's out there.  I do like everything Bell's puts out (except Oarsman (sour mash?) and the Christmas Ale wasn't that great)

I had my sixer of Hopslam fresh on January 3rd.  You guys need to make some friends around the country to get you the hookup.

Also, I agree, there are a lot of other IPAs out there that are just as good. But popular, limited production, specialty beers will always get the hype. In other news, I have a few of these left to consume later.

I had one of these from Cigar City recently. The Marshall Zhukov Russian Imperial Stout was outstanding.
