Had a vist from a old college this week that I had not seen in at least 10 years.....good old Jamica Red from Mad River Brewing.

Not the hop monster that's so the style today rather just a full flavored and easy dringking classic.

I highly reccomend seeking one out today.

Had a Stone collaboration Coconut IPA this weekend. MMM MMM. Very faint coconut, but good sweet balance with the the bitterness of an IPA.  Holding on to one more bottle.

If you can find some, get some.

Anyone have a ever have a Hennepin from ommegang brewery in copperstown N.Y.?  I bought one from Harris Teeter tonight.  It had a strong sour nickel taste with a round dishwater finish.  I literally poured 750 ml down the garbage disposal.  Am I the only one?

Sounds skunky. Should have taken it back for a refund. Hennepin is tasty.

I picked up a six of Blue point pumpkin today. Haven't tried it yet,but all their beers so far have been tasty. I think their Toasted Lager is one of the best session beers around Smiley

I like Cottonwood Pumpkin. It was especially good when you could get a growler fill at Carolina Brewery in Mooresville for 8 bucks. Good Times. Stopped by Catawba Brewery today  and picked up a six of Farmer Ted's and White Zombie. Good to let your taste buds mellow with smooth ,malty, and light hops every now and then. But the Zombie went faster then most of the brews I've had lately. 4.7% ABV. Craft Light Wink

Picked up a bottle of Southern Tier Warlock Imperial Pumpkin last night.  Best pumpkin beer I have ever tasted.  It's tastes like Pumking, but better.

Had the chance to sample approximately 68oz of Cigar City Jai Alai IPA last weekend. Probably the best IPA I've had!
