Anyone have a ever have a Hennepin from ommegang brewery in copperstown N.Y.?  I bought one from Harris Teeter tonight.  It had a strong sour nickel taste with a round dishwater finish.  I literally poured 750 ml down the garbage disposal.  Am I the only one?

Maybe you got a bad beer, it happens. I really enjoy Hennepins they are very similar to Duval. You really have to let them warm a little to enjoy. Not all styles of beers are for everyone.

I'll play

My favorite is the strongest IPA on tap at WWC when I happen to finish my ride and the Rivers Edge is still open.   Otherwise it is Southern Tier 2X IPA or dogfish head 90 minute

Good place to try some exceptional beers...
Duckworths in Huntersville $3.50 drafts Mon & Wed ~100 taps
Duckworths on Park Road $3.50 drafts Tues & Thurs ~85 taps

Not a fan of the pumpkin beers... tried most of them... just not my bag.

I prefer the double IPAs but also very fond of chocolate stouts and porters...SamuelSmith's Organic Chocolate and NoDa Coco Loco are good examples.

yes, the coffee Chub is REALLY good.  I do the 4 oz pours though, its delicious but I don't think I could handle a pint or more of it in one sitting.  That's what the deviant is for..

Pizza Peel opening a new location in Plaza Midwood early December.  32 on draft, likely all good given the selection @ the Cotswold selection.

Had a Great'ER Pumpkin by Heavy Seas yesterday and it was excellent. I've never really been a pumpkin beer fan but this one was so good that now I'm wondering what I've been missing. Are there any other pumpkin brews out there like this that I should try?

Pumpkin Beers are my guilty pleasure.  Had a Shipyard Smashed Pumpkin at CM yesterday that was really good.  Noda has a good pumpkin as well.  Definitely need to try Dogfish Punkin, also.  It's a staple.

Picked up a six of new belgium accumulation. It's their winter seasonal, a white IPA. Starts light and finishes wit a strong hoppy bitterness. Love it  Wink

Had my first Goose Island Bourbon County Coffee Stout last night. It was as amazing as I hoped. Tasted like a chocolate bourbon milkshake Smiley

Blue Moon doesn't have any pumpkin in it. So it's not really a pumpkin ale. Maybe a Oktoberfest
