Sam Adams octoberfest is a decent beer this year (ducks), it's got a consistent flavor, which has always been a problem with many of SA's beers.  That being said, as soon as Noda gets some beers into the local stores in rock thrill I'll be all over them.

I believe I saw some NoDa beers at O'Darby's off Celanese. I may be thinking of Frugal McDougal's though.

The beer here is honestly not what everyone says- while we do have selection we dont have quality.

Boxcar was much better this year, from the last. Levi finally realized that less spice is better.
White Street's Baltic Porter was great

Hosanna brewing in Fuquay has major infections and off flavors. Do not recommend

Went for some old stand by's that I used to drink all the time up in Michigan Bell's Porter and Bell's Double Cream Stout(hey,it was winter for 9 months there, then Oberon came out for summer) Don't know why I stopped drinking these. Stuff is fantastic  Smiley

Avery's Old Jubilation. A wonderful holiday ale. 8.5%. Try it if you find it.

Does anyone know where to find Old Rasputin from North Coast Brewing? I used to see it all the time but can't seem to find any now.

Last week's Total Wine circular was advertising four-packs.   I was thinking about picking one up myself, since I haven't had one in several years.

Brawley's has some pretty fantastic vintage stouts right now. I picked up a 2006 Avery Samael, a couple 2010 Beasts, a couple 2010 Stone IRS and few random bourbon stouts. Great selection!

After hearing so much about Lagunitas Sucks last year, I grabbed a six pack this week and cracked one open tonight.  Damn delicious!

I read on Beeradvocate that Hopslam is suppose to ship out to distributors in NC January 20th. Is this true? I'm not sure if anyone on here holds additional knowledge regarding this matter...I would like to get my hands on a 6er as well!
