Just my luck I leave my cell phone at home so cant take a picture and about 3.5 miles into my ride this morning there is the white squirrel that I have heard about on here!! So without evidence to prove it the squirrel is still a myth!! Smiley

I understand a white BIGFOOT has also been spotted on the trail......but no pics for proof.  Maybe he's visiting here for the Labor Day weekend from Uwharrie.

Glad to hear that! Hadn't seen him (or her) in a while, and saw something flattened on Rocky River Church Rd. just outside the entrance a couple weeks back that looked larger-than-normal and white. The legend lives!

Saw him Saturday too.  Pretty cool. We joked that him being there could cause the animal rights folks to shut down the trail to protect him.  Then thought about how unfunny that was.

I saw him today, I don't recall at what distance but it was right before the rock gardens on the mainloop. I got a few sketchy pics of him. Something like a bigfoot pic. 
I did get a good screen shot off of a vid I took...

Glad to see it still out and about. Really thought a predator would have nailed him by now, as visible as he is. Maybe he has mad survival skillz.

Yea I'm surprised he made it to that size. He's not to skittish eaither. 
He looked like he had blak eyes. I thought albinos had red ones.

I noticed him because of how bright white he is, how does he stay so clean?  Wink

Probably the worst picture ever. But proof he still continues to live! I've heard they die off quickly because prey can spot them easier. That and they're stupid and run out infront of bikes and stuff lol I don't know how many close encounters I've had with squirrels these days.

White squirrels are indinjonus to Brevard NC and the sorounding areas.  If you are up riding Pisgah or DuPont you may come across one.   They are all over the place on the Brevard College campus.

Saw the white squirrel yesterday on lap 2... 4th time I've seen it in the past 1.5 yrs. Squirrels were out in force yesterday - must be last minute shopping for nuts for the winter
