I have a few questions about your pairings.  Why did you pair Sherman Branch against Harrisburg and USNWC against North Meck? Seems better to pair Sherman and WWc and Harrisburg and N. Meck.  And why not Anne SPrings with Rock Hill?  Seems RRT against Sherman, N. Meck against Harris and USNWC against Uwharrie would have made more sense.

I'm sure the PASA guys are getting a chuckle about Poston beating Fisher. Smiley   But by less than 5% margin, the closest margin of all the pairings.  Wink

The rankings were based 1-16 on my trail preferences (length, technicality, fun factor, etc). The site then paired them based on these rankings 1 vs. 16, 2 vs. 15, 3 vs. 14 etc. I had Sherman as my 2 or 3 ranking and Harrisburg Half as my 14. There wasn't much sense to it. Wish I did not have the Fisher against Poston in the first round. Love Poston and Love Fisher...just hate that Fisher is out after the first round.

Wow, RRT vs BYT; that is a tough one.  But based on my history and involvement, it had to go to BYT.

That's hard putting RRT and BYT against each other.  Both great trails but for totally different reasons.  This would have actually made a better final match.  Sorry, had to vote BYT as it's "rough and tumble" and that's the way I like it.   I could do without more climbing. Wink  Plus I haven't ridden RRT yet...Smiley

Next time you get to go past FF, you really owe yourself a ride at RRT.  It can be quite humbling for those of us not in the best of shape.  Undecided

I need to check it out.  Need to get some more ideas for trail on a possible 110 acres that may be available in Davidson soon...  Wink

Round Two is the Books with Poston vs Lake Norman and Rocky River Trail vs. USNWC all moving to the final four. Now this gets tough as they all have their merits...

Round Two Results

Grats Poston?

Phenomenal trail system that never closes. That's one hell of an X-factor.

I never see more than a few riders at Poston.  Expected LNSP to win, but I think Poston is well deserving, just didn't think it was as popular as some other tracks.

Poston is a great trail and always open is a real plus I'm sure. RRT coming in second is definitely not an indication of popularity with a beautiful weekend there was only about 10 riders for the whole weekend and 2 on Monday. I am humbled that RRT would be in the mix. That said it is an indication that the voters are a smaller subset of the mtn bike riders in the area. I would have expected it to between Sherman and WWC.  Odd that both finalist were not built by the trailblazers. Not stirring anything just saying its a lot like the polls the news media presents us with.

It was entertaining.
