Yay!!!  The Mecca is finally open. Social pace ride about 10:30 or 11am today at Sherman. Who's in with Linus and I?  Hit me up at 585-978-1318 if you want to meet us there.

I rode at 11:30. Man it was sloppy, but fun!

Here was our ride yesterday.  I use an app called "Everytrail" that tracks the ride.  It is usually off by about 20%.  You will notice at about the 6 mile mark I missed the turn for Lake Loop and went about 3/4 mile on Main Loop before realizing and back tracked to do Lake with Rob and Kevin...I have only ridden Lake about a dozen times...DUUHHHH

Does anyone know if Strava does a similar mapping like this?

It does

It appears your app is even more inaccurate on mileage vs. my unassisted** GPS.  Sherman is ~11.2 miles or so.  Given your back tracking I would have expected more mileage.  My understanding is smart phones only take a waypoint every 3 or 5 seconds depending on the app.  I have my Garmin set to take it every second.

** Unassisted means I do not have a wheel or cadence sensor.

Cool, thanks for the information.  I will try Strava out.  This app is something that I have used for a while, and I like the accompanying webpage that you get for each ride.  I might look at some of the settings.  It must be I am riding so fast that the way points are in accurate.  Cool
