Rumor has it Indian Trail is starting on a 140 acre park near Unionville Indian Trail Rd. Does anyone know anything about this? I look on there website but it has little info. It does state Bike Trails but not sure if this will be Greenway.

Last i heard was it is going to be mostly rec. fields and picnic areas. I doubt theyll have room for significant trails. At least trails that are worth riding.

This will be just around the corner from my house and I have been following its planning for awhile now. While I am excited that that the town has taken on the expense of a park like this there is no plan for MTB trails. The planned trails appear to be more like pit gravel paths similar to Boyce road park. The majority of the park will be ball fields but it still will be a nice amenity for the area. I expect that I will be riding whatever there is to offer there with my family.

If you live in the immediate area like me the several miles of sidewalk being added between Sadris Elementary and HWY 74/Walmart along Unionville I.T. road is also a huge addition to community.

The sidewalk is being paid mostly with Federal HWY funds which is nice.
The town park is being paid through bonds that will cost town residents a few shekels a year on their property taxes, which I am ok with. Who votes no to a referendum to add parks?

Yeah not expecting challenging trails but with a little one on the way looking forward to this park and riding with the family. I'm in Fieldstone Farm down Poplin.
