Had a pair of Fox Dirtpaws but they ripped after a few weeks in between the thumb and index finger.  What brand should I go with?

I got tired of buying fancy smacy bike gloves that didn't last. I've been wearing Mechanix gloves for 4+ years now. Have yet to kill a pair. THey got everything from thin to heavy padded gloves to super warm winter gloves. Best value out there.

Do what you like. Stop hating people for their riding habits and get back to hating them for their skin color, religion, politics, and sexual orientation.

+1.  Cross X.  I have 3 pairs.

661's aren't bad either.  I have a pair with less padding that have held up well.

Giro gloves are complete garbage, just in case you were looking at them.

I'm a fan of the Dakine's but I find the silicone griipy fingers (once sweaty) are more slick than my other pairs of gloves. And on days like today, you're not getting that sweat off the fingers by wiping them on your jersey or shorts...

Still, I think Dakine makes some great gloves.

I also like 661 and Pearl Izumi.

The higher end Pearls IMO are constructed better and more "intelligently" than the lower tier offerings, so pony up if you go with them.

I also have a pair of Fox gloves.
I think they were on chainlove for like $9 or something.
Don't know exact model, but they are great as well.

I've also found that sizing runs very similar between Pearl Izumi, Fox, Dakine, and 661. I'm an XL in all and all seem to fit fine... FWIW

I use these. They are machine washable and last forever.  Get 2 and you will never need to purchase another pair.

That is surprising, I have had (You need to Login or Register to view media files and links) for 2+ years. Out riding in rain storms, working on my bikes in the middle of the woods, machine washed them many times and they are still running strong.

I would definitely contact them about a replacement/refund.

I've read through this thread before but for some reason tonight, I just sort of briefly glanced at the title of this thread and thought it said "Best Full figured woman" and thought "hmm, not really gear related but people sell wireless routers and cars on the sale forum, so whatev."

So yeah, gloves.
