Forecasted path for Chantal has it heading for western NC.  With all the rain we've had this could be a devastating storm.

It will suck for people at nationals as well.

Our lakes and streams are full and the groundwater table is saturated.  This could be really bad for lakes on the Catawba chain as all of Duke's reservoirs are either at capacity or above right now.  Duke power can loose control of the dams in no time.

Aren't water rates supposed to be dropping now then after the drought-related rate hikes a few years ago? Tongue

You still pay pennies on the dollar to have clean, fresh, diesese free water delivered straight to your faucet.     Tongue

what your really paying a lot of money for is to treat your poop.

Also I have no pity for people that complain about their water bill when they waste it on watering grass.

All things considered they do a pretty good job keeping levels very close to targets when you look out over the last 30 days or greater.  No easy task moving so much water downriver.

Yup wish more people would use rain barels.  Septic great if you have the right drainage. Some septic fields are failing right now due to all the rainwater and people have raw sewage in their yards.

Good news!! Chantal fell apart today. Maybe we will have some great weather for ORAMM next week.
