Decided I needed some wheel time and took my newly completed single speed roadie project for a spin yesterday on the little sugar creek trail by work. It was nice and dry, until I came across the dude washing the junk off the trail. Front wheel got caught between the wet silt filled rut and the guys water hose spread across the path and I ended up a muddy superman on the ground.
I should change my username to " skinless knees" 
But the worst part is my brand new saddle and new shellacked bar tape is all thrashed

Stupid rain. Road bikes are dangerous! So far today, It hasn't rained in an hour ( new record for the summer) ill probably miss the afternoon this year when the trails are rideable because if the scab covered stumps there my knees used to be.
