Another poll.

Yup.  Another damn poll.  This is a beer poll.  Not what you think so I'll lay it out for ya.

If you had the choice between drinking PBR or nothing at all what would it be and why.  Also added some more just for fun. Wink

I'll go first:

Nothing at all.  I have standards and I like beer more for the taste than the buzz.

Next...

of all the cheap beers, PBR has a light hoppy taste. The others taste like watered down malt(bud light, miller, coors, ect.) I like beer for taste also. But a 24 oz PBR for $4 at the WWC,is the best post ride deal around Smiley

I like PBR, in fact, I have a 12 pack (or partial) in the cooler in the truck now.

Why would you choose anything besides Pabst even if your given options!?!...

If I cant have ice cold Pabst I wont have anything at all... Mankind has yet to create something better than Pabst Blue Ribbon. Electricity? The Combustion Engine? Pimento Cheese?...all pale in comparison to the Blue Ribbon Beer. Pabst is without question, indisputably the best thing ever to grace the face of the Earth.  Smiley

DUDE...Your nuts....Here's the deal, go out to a fine little mountain town (Like Boone NC)...Have a nice long day riding your bike or rock climbing, hiking, fly fishing just hanging out in the sun with friends playing Frisbee....Then go to Black Cat Burrito and order up the Tokyo BLT burrito (add chicken) and ask for a PBR Mortar shell (24 oz)....Eat that meal after your activity of choice and tell me you don't love PBR....It's all about the state of mind....

I think there better "cheap" better but none with quite the hipster cred that PBR has...it just sooo sweet that unless it's ice cold (or free)  I would rather have soemthing else.

What about good old Lucky Lager? love them stubby bottles.

HEY!
Smiley
Respect the Pimento Cheese.

If its cold on a hot day.  I'd drink it.
The PBR, not the pimento cheese.

PBR but... Man, that stuff would have to be ice cold. By the way love me some mento cheese. Harris teeter has some pepper jack pimento cheese that would go with any beer including PBR. Only beer I spit out and couldn't finish was a chocolate ale. NASTY

Dont get me wrong, Pabst is the best beer in the world...that is clear. However, I do enjoy a good IPA, stout, porter, etc. If you opened my fridge right now youd find a growler of Pisgah Pale Ale, their IPA, and sweet potato beer called The Carver from Full Steam in Durham, NC.  But theres always a healthy amount of Pabst keeping them company.

And try Palmeto Cheese.  Its as close to homemade as you'll find at any store. Good stuff.

I've grown accustomed to micro-brews... never liked PBR before... so I probably would thank but pass on the offer.

Miller light used to be my brew... now the smell of it makes me sick.

I had a palate cleansing 24oz PBR in honor of Mark yesterday after Nuker and I met at DBC and had one and a half fabulous beers. Had a full pint of the Ballast Point Habenero Sculpin, and a tiny glass of the Evil Twin Imperial Biscotti Break...BPH is like a Birdsong Jalapeno on steroids, and I liked the Evil Twin better than a recent bottle of Marshall Zhukov from Cigar City. Deeelish!

I'm a beer snob, but I still like my PBR brah....Maybe if I break an ice cold (I know how to travel with cold PBR) one out incognito in a certain wooded place where we might be swinging certain fire fighting type tools in 90 degree weather you might come to a different conclusion Cool..before anyone thinks I'm condoning having a nice ice cold PBR on public lands, my backyard is a wooded area where I use my own trail building tools for yardwork Smiley they do work pretty good at home too.
