I want to ride my biiiiicycle!

I did a couple of laps at the wwc yesterday after work (just my gym clothes) and when I got back to the car to put my bike up I thought a good southern insect was attacking my gentlemen region... Turns out the sweat through my clothes was touching some metal on my saddle and riding under the power lines caused me to zap myself! That always creeps me out when I get the wwc parking shock! Good excuse to upgrade to all carbon? Doubt the wifey would buy it! Tongue

It's a rainy day again... Anyone else have any funny stories about the unexpected electrocution under the power lines? This is going to be a lot more "fun" when I finish up my steel frame single speed.... Conductivity!

And all this time, I thought that crackling sound was coming from the power lines themselves.  Turns out it was from someone's eggs frying a few parking spots away.  Shocked

Ha...I thought you ere talking some kind of therapy at first.  Parked under the lines last summer and probably felt a slight tingle getting the bike from my fork mount roof rack.  guess I was sweaty and leaning on the car when loading and got a bonafied  shock when loading.  Now I park on the edge

I always joke about a "metal plate in the head" but man! That would scramble someone's cookies to have something conductive like that... 

Maybe that's why I always see those guys with lots of piercing running back and forth under the power lines moaning... Creepy!
