As you just hinted at why don't you ask yourself?

I recommend some music therapy, say the hard fuzz of Corrosion of Conformity’s Albatross, a 60's groove of Traffic's Low Spark of High heeled boys or Rush's Caress of Steel (for your inner geek) and lets not forget one of the seminal hardcore bands Husker Du?

Any of these should get you in the right head space so please report back with your findings for a new assignment.

Who else might have an “inspired” suggestion for our man in need?

Well if we y'all are gonna get down with the delta blues men then how about some Son House? ( BTW I don't think the kids on PB know much about the blues, but if they want to check it out just listen to all 28 min of Dazed and Confused first to see how the blues was exploited in it's fullest then one can begin understand how huge the original players were)
