Using Strava

So Ive noticed how useful Strava can be to show and track trails/ times and distance, find trails, and "compete" online (or at least know how you are doing in comparison). From my limited understanding, using strava requires having a Garmin device (I don't have an iPhone or Android phone). Do all the Garmin devices work pretty much the same, or is there a certain "model or higher" that works the best?

Thanks in advance for the advice!

I have a 7+ year old Garmin 305 and it works just fine with Strava.  You do have to "Gasp" attach it to a PC via a wire to upload your rides though.  Roll Eyes

You have to use a usb with the 500, and 800 also.  A wheel speed sensor is a must if you want an accurate distance with a GPS on a mountain bike.  If you are just looking at time, it shouldn't matter as much unless the GPS starts starting and stopping on you when it loses signal.
