Where to rent a bike?

I have a friend coming in to town for the weekend (actually Thursday-Saturday).  Does anyone know where he can rent a bike?  I know we can at WWC but we were thinking about going to Warrior Creek on that Friday.  I am located in SW Charlotte near Carowinds.

This may be a dumb question, but can you rent a bike from the White Water Center and take it to a different trail.
