Community Service?

Hi everyone, I was just thinking about my community service assignment for school and I was wondering if anyone had some ideas of community service I could do involving mountain biking? I feel like it'd be cool to dig or volunteer at fundraiser rides or something like that. Any ideas?  Huh

great idea, im sure that you could get with Neal and he could use your help volunteering at some of the races if that would count. If not, check (You need to Login or Register to view media files and links) for local rides to volunteer at, or even see if they could use some help at the Recyclery!

Aiden,  Consider asking one or more buddies to join you in some trail work projects. The more, the merrier.

Let us know where you go to school and we can introduce you to a Trail Coordinator for a trail nearby. (Look on the "Down and Dirty" forum. There is a trailwork  scheduled tomorrow evening for Francis Beatty Park, which is near Weddington, S. Meck, Charlotte Catholic, Providence, and Audrey Kell high schools.)

We can document your time and we are a 401(c)(3) charitable organization so should meet all your school requirements.

Oops, missed your Mooresville tag.  Embarrassed

Yea.  He's mine!  Shocked

Seriously though, we'll be doing some trail work a week from this Sunday at Fisher Farm Park in Davidson.  Keep an eye on the home page for updates. Smiley

It's a great way to give back to something you're interested in.  My son 15 has done 3 of these at LKN and loved it.  thinking about organizing a charity race for his personal project this year...stay tuned

Yeah, I'm 16 and I'd love to do it. I feel like it'd be pretty fun. I'll end up doing some at Fisher Farm and also the State Park.
