sherman fun

rode sherman yesterday late and had a good time.  i saw 2 young deer on roller coaster, 1 of them only ran about 20-30 ft off trail and we watched each other as i passed.  later i came around one of the flat sandy corners to a 3ft copperhead streached out across the trail.  hopped him, took pictures and moved him off trail with a really long stick.  then when i got back to the lot the very nice subaru next to me had an open door.  didn't know if it was a hippy bait car or if the owner was like me and forgets to check his doors before he leaves for the ride. and i did shut it.  i need to get there more often, always a fun ride.

Some people are like slinkies, not really good for anything, but they bring a smile to your face when pushed down the stairs.

thanks, Scottie... I'm sure the workers appreciate that post.

I always say, if you can't ride Sherman and have a good time, you need to seek some medical help.

Do what you like. Stop hating people for their riding habits and get back to hating them for their skin color, religion, politics, and sexual orientation.

Definitely one of the most overall fun trails. I always put it at the top of my list of recommendations to anyone who asks about trails in the area.

Someone must have called 911 on that nasty copperhead and also for bike speeders. I recently saw some cops (wearing guns on chest packs) heading down the trail.   Don't know of any other reason to be packing heat on a bike trail.  Cuffing  a copperhead could be a difficult task.
BTW, grown copperheads are not long.....they do not grow to be much longer than 3 ft.

There was a lady that was being harassed by her husband or something and she lives back by lake loop I think and he is suppose to be very familiar with sherman trails and they thought he would come through the trails to the house...  there was a post on facebook about it Shocked

OK.  thanks,  Good to know that.  I appreciate what the officers do for us.  Thanks for the info.  The biking public needs to be aware (and report/communicate) about potential bad things on trails...like poisoneous snakes, break-ins etc.
