The Tanglewood 6 hour event is this Saturday beginning at 11.  Tanglewood is a tight/twisty course mixed with some horse trails and greenway- 9.5 miles.  Here's the site:

Thinking of doing SS class, but have no idea how to gear for the course.
Does anyone have any experience with this trail they can compare to any of our local trails.

it's been a long time since I rode there.............but from what I remember it was kinda like Sherman, but it wasn't 9 miles long either.

The trails (there are actually 3 sections of trails all being used - they are separated by roads in the park) - and the adjoining horse trails and greenways also used in the event have little elevation gain or loss and no sustained hills- less than 100 feet of elevation change on the site.  It will be one of your bigger gear combinations.  Sorry I can't be more help.  A map is posted on the site.

I think it is actualy flater than Sherman. You may be able to run a little bit bigger gear, like a North Meck size gear.

Do what you like. Stop hating people for their riding habits and get back to hating them for their skin color, religion, politics, and sexual orientation.
