Many of you have heard the chatter about the new trail going in at Beatty.
This project is a massive undertaking, and it will be unlike any trail that has been built, especially in the Charlotte area. It will be a trail that can be ridden on any bike, by anyone who can ride a bike, and it will be a trail that experts can enjoy as much as the beginners do.
This project will be difficult, so we are going to need all hands on deck in order to complete it in a timely manner. I have posted a facebook page and have received tons of interest on helping out. (

I have also spoken to many people from the club who have pledged their support.
Now is the time that I need to get an itemized list of the resources and hours that will be donated by everyone. The less financial stress we have to put on the club's bank account, the faster, and easier it will be to have a brand new trail in Charlotte's radar. Help can come in a variety of ways.
Here is what we need:
Networking- tell everyone, get excited about it, this is the kind of trail that will get people into bike riding, and is suitable for all types of riders.
Funding- while the club is ready to pay for the trail, the less they have to pay for, the more we can add later.
Machines!- This trail will be 90% machine built and will require skidsteers, walk behinds, 4-wheelers, if it makes the building process easier, we can use it!
Materials- the more dirt the merrier! We'll also need decking material to make the trail's start/finish deck
Hands- the primary resource is the human resource, the more hands helping, the better!
All physical resources that are donated for this cause from a business can be tax-deducted.
We are getting really close to beginning this trail, and if we go in to the meeting with park and rec about the trail, and we say "here is our proposal, the club is going to head this up in its entirety", they'll probably approve it and it will be all fine. But if we go in there and say "here is our proposal, the community has stepped up to the plate and as a result, the entire trail will be built for the community, by the community" we'll get it approved, and the entire club/community will get some much needed attention from the city, and possibly the entire cycling industry.
So help build the world's very first PumpTrail!
