Trail work done @ Anne Springs Close Greenway

The trails at Anne Springs have been pretty rough in places for a while.  I've been working with the folks at the Greenway to get on this.  A couple of weeks ago I went down and did some major repairs with a couple of other.  The trail is now in much better shape.  Still some work to be done, but much better.  Get out and ride it, and let me know what you think.

I think that the trails at ASCG are looking great.  There are pretty rooty in some spots, but that doesn't have anything to do with trail work.  Overall they are in excellent shape.  I helped a couple of months ago on Sugar Loop to install a couple of bridges, and the one lead in to the bridge that we put in is very soft even without rain the past month.  Not sure if we can lay some perpendicular stick/branches out there on the lead up to that.  Overall though they are looking good.  Thanks for all of the help.

Neal, after riding there yesterday to test out the fixes, I have decided to put it back on my rotation because of all the hard work you and Doug have done out there.  Thank you very much for working, organizing and getting ASCG going on this.  I can't wait to see the new stuff down on the banks of old steel creek.

I used to ride; now I just drink and cry about not riding.

I used to ride there about everyday.  Do we know if they will keep up with trail work or is this a one time thing for the race?

It's not just for the race. Things got out of hand, as you know, and Springs is putting in an effort to get it cleaned up. They are planning on a couple of short reroutes and deberming (SP) the entire trail so it can drain better. There has been far more people than Neal and I doing the work but thanks none the less.

First post here on the forums. I rode out there for the first time yesterday. Didn't run across any really bad spots. It's a really beautiful area, love the streams and swinging bridges.

I rode it today.

It was riding really nice.

Thank you for all of your hard work.

There was only one bridge that felt off. It was on Sugar, near it's end. It was wider than most of them out there, seemed to be warped, and rocked a bit while crossing it.

Sorry I don't really have more details.
