They were mapping out the course tonight and setting up.
WWC was a ghost town tonight.

Also, FYI, bar closes at 7pm now... Angry

Thanks for the heads up.  Guess that will alter my plans to head that way tomorrow morning.

So I guess they're gonna have to "Make" the mud for this one.

think youre right Mark, i did the run this morning and there was no mud to speak of. A short dip in the river plus whatever dirt your shoes picked up afterwards was about as muddy as you were going to get. We rode after and had some brews and wasted a whole afternoon just hanging out...which is why my night at work is feeling worse than usual  Roll Eyes

however, i did think it was pretty crappy that they didnt close the pieces of trail that we ran on. To my knowledge, pretty much every other event out there has sectioned off that trail for runners only. All they did this time was put up signs that warned bikers there were people "racing" on the trails also. Having a bunch of teenage girls clinging to a tree as one rider passed by was pretty entertaining for me though haha.

Also, i just want to place a very short rant in here. The finish line was on the gravel path around the rapids, so the thin gravel trail along the outside of it that connects the mtb trails was scattered with people walking across it and standing around hanging out with people. I stood there and watched several riders hop off the gravel and ride a few feet in the grass to avoid some of this chaos. However, one woman stopped and was pretty rude to a couple of people standing around with their kids at the finish line. May not have been a big deal to some people, but it makes us all look bad and there really was no reason for her to get an attitude about it. Well, unless of course that connector path Shocked is a Strava segment...
