I know some of you read my posts and think this guy is crazy but I am not, well maybe but I do have a heart. I made a choice the other day to buy a fixe from a wonderfull humanbeing, something came up and I can't buy it now but I feel really bad about it. I am going on my vacation with my wife for our anniversery and we kind of need the cash to use , and I have the cash , but the bike I had had an issue and we found a solution on how to make it work and now I am stuck feeling like crap. I want the fixy bad but I need to have the money for me and my wife . I feel like total crap about this cause I think he was stokked someone would buy this bike. I still want it I just don't know how to say hey I can't buy this now but I still want it with out him getting pissed at me about it. I am not a bad person and have love for all , ALL. This is going to make me have a hard nites sleep now but it is what it is and I can't just ignore him so I think I will buy it but not now. Am I wrong for this? I know people that just get all stupid with others but I am not like that..I believe if a man gives his word than he should follow up on it but right now I can't..oh no I am rambling on...

If you can't then don't. Things happen. I would like and need a new bike but I have a couple that I keep running. Not a big deal Rocky save that cash!

You just need to be straight up and tell him. Things happen and if he is as good of a person as you say, he will understand.

He still has his bike - you still have your cash. No problems there... not like you half paid and have his item or something.

Being up front about not committing to buying sooner than later is best in all situations. That way seller can move on to next buyer.

Things happen for a reason - if you know its not the time to buy this fixie  then it could be a higher power telling you not to.  Fixie season is ending now anyhow- hipsters are putting their summer toys away for fuzzy socks and birkenstocks, so move on..

It may still be available next round...

I never have a problem with that stuff as long as people are just honest about it.  Tell him as soon as possible so he doesn't lose out on any other sales.

I am still going to get it regardless. the more I thought about it the more I wanted it, so when I get back it will be mine and I am not a trendy MF, I am a Bicycler Enthusiast..So EMF to all on what is trendy and what is not. Thanks 46erRider for making my choice easier..The End
