Beatty Non-Stop Going to Die Ride

I was thinking today that the most laps I have at Beatty at one time is 4.  So I think I'm going to try for five this weekend back to back.  Maybe 6 if it's going well...

Anyone interested in trying it?

I wouldn't do it on Saturday. There are going to be about 100 extra users on the trail! It's take a kid mountain biking Day. Big event out there.

Im game...but Im working this weekend. Angry

According to my calculations if you ride 6 laps at Beatty, with one lap being 6.4miles(including Chigger Hollow) you come to 38.4 miles.

You could ride Beatty 6 times or...

drive up to Warrior Creek and ride it all.

My vote is for Warrior Creek...make it happen.

Dude I'm signed up for the Wilks100k coming up on October 26. If you want to ride a bunch of miles come out and do that. Smiley

I did 10 laps when it had the complete valley trail. You kinda loose count after about 3.5 hrs of riding

Do what you like. Stop hating people for their riding habits and get back to hating them for their skin color, religion, politics, and sexual orientation.

It sounds like a blast but I am not there yet.

I did 3 full laps on Weds (1 solo before our 2 social rides) I wasn't ready to die quite yet but my pace was dropping quick... Smiley

Hopefully by the spring I will be ready for a marathon ride like that. However, I dig Brian's suggestion... just go some place with a long trail instead of riding the same trail 6 (or 10!) times...

or ya'll could break the record at Cane Creek, 6-8 years ago on Labor Day Sweet Rog did 8 full laps, little over a hundred miles on a 1993 Bridgestone MB 3 rigid 7 speed, after the 3rd lap we had too tighten up the headset everytime he came thru the campground................figgered it was gonna kill him, but we did 30 miles on the road the next morning. OLD PEOPLE ROCK !

I would ride your FS bike, otherwise you'll need wrist surgery after 10 laps at Beatty on a ridged SS...

24 hours of Beatty!

Seems like this could be a cool idea for a fundraiser for the club or better yet a local charity. Have folks pledge laps in turn for donations. Have a festive atmosphere with food, music, etc.

24 hours of Beatty!

Anyway...Im down for the 10 lap challenge on my rigid SS if you are. Maybe bring the FS as a backup just in case. If you can do 10, why not 11. So, how can we verify when we do this? Strava?

Scott...I'd rather do 15 laps at Beatty than 8 at CCP. Im. Spent after 3 laps out there. What Rog did is just crazy haha.
