Trail Building Guidance Needed

Print Post
Josh, the trail boss at Springs, is hosting a corporate volunteer event at Springs on Saturday Oct 19th. He is expected to have 50-60 people from a local company come out to do volunteer work. They will be working on the new reroute of the bike trail that was on the muddy service road that ran along side the creek, between the highway bridge and the big swinging bridge behind the school. The issue he is having is he needs some experienced trail builders to help guide the volunteers. He does not have enough experienced help to guide the volume of people he has coming out. I would help but I will be out of town that weekend. Josh is a super nice guy and easy to work with and really needs some help. He has been working hard on get the trail some of us ride back in shape. If a few of you are interested please contact me by posting here or a PM and I will get you together.

So I posted this with my phone and made a few grammatical errors. I do not see the edit button with the phone so please excuses my errors. The biggest one is the date that would be Saturday Oct 20th.

Doug,

Do you mean Saturday, October 19th or Sunday, October 20th?

Doug, the wife is going to visit her mother in Virginia this weekend, so I should be able to lend a hand.

Wow, three different southeast side trails doing big work days on this Saturday; I hope we can get enough turnout at each one.

I used to ride; now I just drink and cry about not riding.

The Springs event is a private volunteer event. They won't have any effect on the other work days that are planned.

The meeting time is 8am on Saturday.
The place is the lift station behind the elementary school.

If you change the google map to satellite you can see how to get there better than the map view.
Lunch will be provided at noon.
Josh said they have a head count of 44 volunteers plus some of his staff.
Tom maybe you and Mike can ride together if you like.
I want to thank y'all for covering my back while I out of town.
