Just bought a cannondale f5 for dirt cheap and I'm looking to upgrade my squish a bit. I'm a college student, so my budget is tight, around 250$. I'm thinking 26" Rebas, Recons, older f100s, prefer not manitou or marzocchi. Let me know what you 29er converts have layin around from the old days.

Does your existing F-5 front spring fork / spring setup still work, and are you interested in getting rid of it? My back-up bike is an F-5 and the front springs are broken. No bounce left. Looking to get it back up and running, on the cheap. Would be nice to have a functional back-up bike...
