Park Road Park trails are unofficially officially open.  We have had a lot of support from local riders in getting this built.  I want to personally thank everyone who has come to work days over the past year.  We also owe a great deal to everyone who put in the behind the scenes effort to secure this piece of property.  Today I finished putting up trail signs so hopefully you can find your way around.  The trick is finding the two trail heads.  Once in the park find the park office.  At the back of the parking lot for the park office is another parking lot at the bottom of a short hill.  You will find the kiosk here.  See this map for trail heads.  (You need to Login or Register to view media files and links)
Hopefully someone will post up a map soon.
Enjoy!  There is a lot more to come.

Smiley  Wish I lived closer to that area.... PRP and BYT!  Awesome.... thanks to all trailblazers for all the hard work that goes into all the trails.  Now if only I could get out more than twice a month.... sigh.

Hey Doug, that's a nice map; does it make up for not making it out last Saturday?

Any Reviews yet on PRP?  I was thinking maybe getting out there early over the weekend for PRP and BYT.

Rode it today... nice ride. There is a decent size tree down on the trail though. It's right after the stony bridge over the creek as you take the left turn.

worker-rider is gonna take it out this morning.
Didn't have the chainsaw with me yesterday or I would have gotten it.
Moved a bunch of it out of the way though...

Just rode the new trail. It's cool ride. Wandered out there and got picked up by Climber and another rider. Nice trail packed with switchbacks and some climbing. Will be great when more wheels work it in. Hope my riding partners payed attention to my tuck n roll demonstration. I wiped out twice!!! Not my day. Thanks for the tour guys.

Oh yeah. We cut the down tree so it's passable now.

What degree of difficulty is PPR? STRAVA map available?

Glad to see new trails have been added in Charlotte. Just ended my recovery from sprained ankle and looking to ride.

I hit it for the 1st time yesterday...it's not long...only appox 2mi, but very fun indeed.  There's some structure with go-arounds...overall an excellent lay-out & use of public land.

Great Job!

Actually, the loop behind the building is approx .75 miles and the other loop is about 2.25 miles...

i clocked it all at 3.3m on computer and Strava came out about the same (amazed considering how tight it is which usually throws it off.  Going to try and separate the loops next week.  Lots of fun...kind of BYT lite

Just to be clear this doesn't directly connect up with BYT in any way does it? Is there an acceptable route through the neighborhood or anything to make a combo of it without getting back in the car?

Wondering the same thing, planning to go out to BYT tomorrow for the first time and figured might try this one as well.  If there is an easy way to get to both from a central location let me know.

Leave From Marion Diehl go down sidewalk on Tyvola, ride PRP come back up sidewalk to Farmbrook, ride BYT, cross Tyvola, ride Marion Diehl.  You'll end up with 20 miles of riding.  Until we can find a way to cross the big creek it is about the only way to do it.
