Single Speed specific hubs

I'm looking into having a new wheel set built. A set specific to single speed mainly because I like the wider flanges for a stiffer wheel. Any recommendations? I want a rebuildable, cassette style hub with quick engagement and doesn't weigh a ton.. Looked into I-9 torches but theyre not SS specific.

I really hate to post this , I was hoping to save up enough $$$$$ to buy them for myself. Chad has a good deal right here. Even if the rims are worn/hurt , @ $420 you'll not be able to beat this deal unless you want Steel spokes. I did a direct rim replacement on mine with a Pacenti rim.

FWIW, the wide Chinese carbon rims have the same ERD as Stans NON Arch/Crest. You pair the I9 hubs spokes and the China carbon rim and you will have the stiffest combo out there.

You'll end up with just under $400.00 by the time they get to your door

These are the ones most people are getting. No need to get the UBER light ones. THe wide 430 gram ones are the way to go. I've built a couple set with no issue but, I also have seen a few that have cracked around the spoke holes. Light Bike did stand behind them but you have to stay on them, and you might incure another shipping charge.

The nice thing about the Hope SS specific hubs is that they have twice the engagement as the old geared hubs.  They offset 2 pawls to get it that way.

And you thought regular Hopes sounded cool.  You should hear the SS ones!

i9 will make SS specific Torch hubs.  I just bought one - purple, even - granted, mine were flanged for regular J-bend steel spokes, cuz I'm OG like that and prefer the steel spokes.... not sure if they make SS specific hubs for their aluminum straight pull spoke deal, but I'm pretty confident they do.

Correct me if I am wrong, but geared Hope Pro II's have 48 point engagement, so the SS specific has 96 POE? Holy Schnikeees!

I thought there wasn't an ss specific hub with the torch's. Only bit I'm worried about with i-9's is that the ease of rebuilding may not be so easy
