I want to take a minute to thank and congratulate Mac Weller with Troop 99 on the successful and impressive completion of his Eagle Scout project out at Col. Francis Beatty Community Park this past Saturday. 

Mac and a small army of volunteers replaced the two aging bridges on the valley trail before the switchback climbs. Mark Rosen Supervised/Assisted as our envoy from the trail crew. Very nice work gentleman, I rode the bridges this morning and couldnt have done a better job myself. On behalf of the extensive community of trail users at Beatty...Thank You!!!

I met up with Mac late last week to finalize the last of the paperwork covering his project's completion and left with a very pleasant surprise. It turns out that his fundraising exceeded the cost to build the bridges and Mac donated the surplus to the Trailblazers!!! Thanks again to Mac and troop 99 for the 2 great bridges and the bonus check for the trail fund!!!
