Hey folks,

Who wants to ride bikes and drink beer?!?

Where: URE
When:11/9-11/10
Why: Bikes are rad and beer is good

The plan:
Meet at Woodrun, ride bikes, campout out in nature and whatnot, drink beer by a fire and generally have a good time. BYO beer, food, etc. If your interested in camping or just coming for the day post up.
(No guarantee of Bigfoot)

Sweet. Charging the light now.  Got a dry box of small firewood. So assuming the gates are open all the way to the Wood run camp area I will just drive in and look for the red Nissan.

Push some of the trees off white tail while your there.  Wink

If you see the Rangers, urge them to get it cleared.

Do what you like. Stop hating people for their riding habits and get back to hating them for their skin color, religion, politics, and sexual orientation.

Yep. I usually camp in the open field on the right before the Pit toilet. That thing gets pretty ripe in the mornings.

FYI this is planned for NEXT weekend(11/9-11/10) not tomorrow Smiley

And Ill put a bug in their ear Jerry...White Tail is by far the best trail out there. Ill do my best to clear what I can.

See everyone else whenever...

This sounds fun. I think we might be interested. If we want to camp would we need reservations or is it first come?

No reservations necessary...just camping gear, food, bikes, and a desire for a chill weekend. Im going to get out there early to "reserve" a whole area so anyone that wants to camp will have a good spot to set up.

"Primitive dispersed camping is allowed throughout the Forest, except in those areas that are posted "No Camping". These sites can be found along most of Forest Service roads and trails. Please remember when using these sites to be careful with camp fires and carry out your trash and debris. Please leave your campsite in good clean condition so that others who follow you may also enjoy the Forest. "

Dispersed Camping = Camp where you dern well please...

Last time we had a TrailBlazer campout out there I cleared everything with the USFS District Ranger. All she said was dont drink and operate a vehicle on the forest roads  Shocked

This Campout is open to anyone, everyone, and all of the above...C'mon out!!

Ok cool. I've never done "dispersed camping" before Smiley. We have a wedding reception to go to Sat afternoon so if we come it will be late Saturday.

It has been many years for me but Uhwarrie is a hoot for a night ride.
I checked with my event planner and have the go for 11/9-11/10.

Might roll up for a ride. Thinking about camping. When was the last time we rode together Dave? White Pines rain out 2009?

That's probably right. Hopefully the weather will be better than that weekend for this trip.
Who ended up with my giant big top tarp from that weekend?
