Roanoke VA - Blue Ridge riding (+ footage) (Read 572 times)

	Went up to Roanoke to visit some family a couple weeks ago and figured I'd see what trails were around. Messaged a couple of guys that knew about some trails descending down the mountains from the BR parkway and was able to plan a day to get up there. Needless to say it was GREAT. Would've liked a bit more of a clear sky but I can't complain. Anyways, if anyone cares to see what's up there, here's the footage I got. 	Love it! Miss the area...Used to live in Bedford VA .. 45 Min From Roanoke ... Spec mine is great!= local Gravity club does spring "thaw runs" down that for timed 1 way events... Low key - Enduro's just this this past spring - snow on the trail, Different perspective from Leaves... Carvins cove- (also outside of Roanoke) also has more 'trail - with the Ups and Downs of the great BLUE RIDGE of VA. OH the memories! Thanks!

	Yep, I ridden Carvin's cove a few times. Riding by my self one time I had a bear encounter; luckily it didn't turn out badly. Did an adventure race there once; it was a very muddy ride. (You need to *Login* or *Register* to view media files and links)

I have grandparents that are up in the middle of montvale off Goose Creek Valley road. Such a great area. Unfortunately I wasn't able to hit up carvins cove but there were some trails behind montvale elementary school called Montvale bike park which I also have footage from (still editing) and I also have a few clips of the Dody Ridge descent which is going to be part 2 of that first video if you know of that also. Good fun!
