Why Banned notice when out of country

Quick question.  Whenever I am traveling I get a "Banned" notice whenever I am outside the US.  Is this a security thing?

Thanks
Greg

Same thing happened to me in January, I imagine its a stop-gap way of keeping out spammers (ban all out of country ip).

Doug I guess Canada is not considered "out of country" I had no problems getting on the site or posting while there. I was using my personal laptop if that makes a difference.

Actually some parts of Virginia give me a banned notice as well.  I think spammers like to spam through remote IP's.  Not much can be done without getting inundated with SPAM....Tongue

I get it when out of the country too. Nothing you can do about it that I know of.

It just dawned on me when I travel I don't rely on a hot spot, wifi or a wireless router connection I use an air card, as long as I have a cell tower I'm good to go.
