Worst bike rack I've ever seen!

I just saw this thing on craigslist and it frightens me.
I'm not sure what would be worse, putting my bike on this thing or driving behind someone who has one. Unbelievable!

I especially like the "hornet" model on their site here....  Shocked

I know how often my Garmin falls off my windshield.

Interesting idea.  Maybe magnets would make me feel a little more comfortable.  The comment they make that vacuum will lose suction over time is a scary one.

I guess it's better than tying a rope to the bike and dragging it around behind you to your favorite trail. I wouldn't trust it.

They work very well......  Industrial style suction cups like the ones that are used by the granite installers to carry the slabs into your house.

That may be...perhaps I just have a problem with products that intentionally have the word "Sucker" in it. Grin Not the best marketing idea.

I think MTBR did an article about them within the last two months or so.  Seems like a solid idea if you have an odd car that won't accept roof racks or a trailer hitch, or you don't want to install such a rack (such as high end sports cars).

One of the Pivot reps had a set on his car at the Renni demo this summer. He was promoting the brand and showed me how it worked. Looked like a very solid system.  Seemed a bit pricey for the limited hardware.

If I recall correctly, for theft prevention, you had to not only lock your bike to the system, but also lock the system to the car - like to a roofrack or somewhere. That could be a negative.

Found this looking for a different car.  I swear someone on BikeForums has one of these on his Audi R8 for a road bike.
