Some of you may have already seen this on my FB, but thought I'd share here...  I'm such a firm believer in the balance bike concept for young kids.  Here's my 2 year old riding North Meck a couple of weeks ago...

Do what you like. Stop hating people for their riding habits and get back to hating them for their skin color, religion, politics, and sexual orientation.

It might be tough for me to schedule, but if you go again, please let me know.  I have a two year old as well and it would be awesome to have another girl her age to watch and learn from.
My daughter has a stryder and hops on it here and there, but isn't quite as good as your girl yet.

Thought I'd share my experience. Gave my son a Strider for his second birthday in May, and within a couple months he had the balance down, with very little instruction from me.  He was doing the whole green loop at Beatty by August. For Christmas we got him a 12" bike, and left the training wheels on for a couple weeks so he could figure out the pedals and brakes. Finally had a nice day yesterday, so I took him to the park and left the training wheels at home. He got up to speed and pedaled off like it was nothing. To celebrate, he replace the words in Jingle Bells with "bikebikebike" and belted it out for the whole park to hear.

That's awesome! I have a grand niece that just turned 1 this month and have a balance bike picked out already. Maybe late summer we'll give it a go. Smiley

Ditto.  Got my grandson one but he just rides it in spurts.  I think I need to get him on a trail.
