THis link was published in the Observer. It is an opportunity to express the need for more cycling opportunities in Concord/Cabarrus County.
Concord Parks and recreation is sponsoring the survey. Please take a few minutes to express your desires.
Personally I would like to see the main parks in Concord linked with greenway and bike lanes.

I would like the City to purchase/annex and reopen Beech Springs.

I'm pretty sure everyone would love to see this.  I'm also pretty sure the city lacks the buying power of Vulcan Materials.  Just a matter of time before that area is a big, deep hole in the ground.  Makes me teary just thinking about it.

Actually, Vulcan was really struggling the last couple of years.  Martin Marietta Materials almost ended up with them with hostile takeover. Vulcan seems to be doing better know. 

I still miss PT.
