I don't know about y'all, but I'm tired of not being able to get this ride going again.  Bad weather has gotten in the way since we all rode together last, and it's time we did something about it.  Since nothing will be open (again) this week, how about an urban ride?


We'll meet Tuesday, 2/4 (tomorrow) at Kickstand Charlotte (1101 Central Avenue) at 6:30 p.m. and do a highly social, greenway/urban ride.  We'll probably get in about 10 miles or so, and when it's over we'll return to Kickstand for food, beer, and more socializing.  Since this is an urban ride, pretty much any old bike will do. Just make sure you bring your helmet, and your bike has a least a headlight (a rear blinky light would be great too.)


Come out out and join us!

Im in as long as its not pouring rain by ride time...

if I dont ride a bike soon im going to lose my mind and make bad decisions...like going running. Cheesy

If it's too rainy or too cold to ride, we'll skip right to the social part and go inside for beer and food.

I don't mind a little cold rain, especially since we won't be tearing up any trails.

raining pretty good down here in Waxhaw. Im out...

the Velominati will be dissapointed.

Im riding a Greenway somewhere tomorrow though. Shoudnt be raining I hope. I dont know what the closest one near Waxhaw is but I'll be there. If anyone wants to join send me a PM

If you go to that one off Rea Road near the Trader Joe's be warned that it gets super muddy towards the end of it (at least it used to - haven't been there is a long time) and also the bridges get extremely slick. I have seen at least two people wipe out on them and one of those people was a dad with his baby in one of those baby seat things on the front of his bike. I have almost wiped out on one of them before too.
