Yuba Mundo, Kona UTE, Surly Big Dummy, or....? and why?

This will be a grocery/beer/kid/cargo hauler.

Anyone own any of these and if so, your review?

Thanks

I ran an Xtracycle free radical on the back of an old Bridgestone mb for a short while. It wil haul a bunch but was noticeably flexy under load.

I'd imagine any of the options you mentioned will less flexy due to their integrated design.

It was a fun bike but I just didn't have the storage space nor did I use it enough and ended up going with a small rear rack with some Paniers.

It worked great for Cranksgiving!

We had a Harry vs. Larry Bullit in the shop for a while. I've also ridden a couple Big Dummies/Yubas. I much prefer the bakfiets style with the load in the front. The frame is a lot less flexy and more stable under load. Also if you're hauling your kids around, the load is up front and it's really easy to keep an eye on them. They even make bolt in child seats.

I've no experience on any of those cargo bikes listed but can speak I the grocery hauler concept. I built a trailer from ideas found on the web for about $50 that can haul a weeks worth of groceries for 3 pulled by my $100 CL bought hybrid.

Cargo bikes are WAY cool in my book but if I had $1000+ to spend I'd put it in MTB parts.
Just say' in you might consider a trailer.

I'd rather have a use specific trailer instead of a cargo bike.  The turning radius is better and the load is distributed better, IMHO.

This is cool!
