I would like to see more community involvement and events centered around the trails in Hickory, NC. To accomplish  this I was thinking of creating a FB page to announce work days, trail closures, social rides and events. If I did this it would be unofficial, but include links to the local government websites and any local business who would like to events at the trail. I would hope to get permission to announce the page's existence on the trail kiosks and stores. 

Any advice, recommendations, examples or warnings welcome.
