ghetto tubeless road wheels?

Anyone tried ghetto tubeless road wheels?

I've had great success at doing it with several different mountain rims and wanted to go ghetto on my new-to-me cross bike.

Factors Im worried about:
1. road tires need higher pressure
2. burping out at 30+ mph on a gravel descent would be bad
3. really no reason to do it other than negligible weight loss and so I could go low pressure on wide cross tires.

By ghetto tubeless I mean gorilla tape, tubeless valve stems and Stan's goop.

Thanks!

DO NOT convert regular road tires to tubeless. That is a No NO.

I have some friends running tubelss specific cross tires on regular rim without any issues. At 50/60 psi, It "might" be a little much for a regular Cross tire, but I don't know because I haven't tried it.

Do what you like. Stop hating people for their riding habits and get back to hating them for their skin color, religion, politics, and sexual orientation.
