We’ve seen a considerable increase of RockShox suspension forks with serial numbers scratched off of the fork crown. Typically, this product has been purchased from unauthorized online retailers shipping directly from a factory. Without a legitimate serial number it’s impossible to discern genuine product from counterfeit or illegal reproductions. These suspension forks are to be considered potentially dangerous. Customers who purchase product with a serial number scratched off are not eligible for the RockShox two year warranty. 

Original RockShox suspension forks are laser engraved with a unique serial number on the backside of the fork crown. Each fork and serial number is catalogued within our system.
