Weekly Monday night BYT rides, starting 3/24 6pm

Print Post
Hello All,

I am going to start doing a weekly ride at BYT on Mondays at 6pm.  I am out of town this Monday, so going to plan on starting on Monday 3/24.  We will be rolling no later than 6pm, but if everyone is there earlier and ready to go, we might roll out earlier.  I am just putting this out there as an initial note about it, but I will post again a couple of days before the first one.  Here is the info tho:

BYT - Meet at Marion Diehl parking lot
Rolling out of the parking lot at 6pm
Starting on Monday 3/24 - Re-occurring each Monday
Social paced ride
Might get dark earlier in the season before we end, so bring lights just in case

Hope that we get some people out there.  It is a great track.

Thanks,

Justin

The first week we will time about how long it takes to get to certain areas.  What we could do is start earlier and then people could ride in the service road across from Marion Deihl and meet us before the downhill to culvert along Tyvola.  I would like to start earlier as well because I work not too far from there and I am out at 530.  We will dial it in.  See you there on 3/24.

Thanks,

Justin

This would work well for me if I can escape work on time. Gonna try Monday.

Sounds good.  I will not be there this Monday 3/17 as I am out of town.  I will be on Monday 3/24 tho.

Thanks,

I am keeping my fingers double crossed that BYT is going to be open by this evening for my first Monday evening group ride of the season.  Plan is to meet at Marion Diehl around 5:30pm, and we are rolling at 6 sharp.  Might get dark towards the tail end of the ride, so bring lights if you have then.  I will finalize this ride later today.  Renny is showing open so if BYT is closed we will probably move this over there.  I will make that call before 5pm today.

Thanks,

Justin

Well the weather is looking great for Monday and hopefully there won't be too much rain this weekend that will close the trails.  Plan on doing my weekly group ride at BYT Monday.  Meeting at Marion Diehl at 5:30ish, rolling at 6pm.  Shooting to be out before dark.  Please let me know if you would like to join me.  Social pace with a couple of quick stops.

Thanks,

Justin

Cool.  Look forward to having you join us.  Keep an eye on this thread in case BYT isn't open and something else is, we will find an alternate location.

If the trail is open Monday I'll likely participate.  I can get there 5:15-5:20 and could probably take a spin on the MD side before everyone else shows up.

Sounds good.  Have my fingers crossed that the trail is open.  Rain due to end today, windy and warm tomorrow, and 0% chance of rain Monday.  Hopefully that will be enough to get everything dry.

Thanks,

Justin

I'll be joining as often as I can.  I haven't ridden this trail yet, as it's always been a bit out of the way for me.  As luck would have it, I recently started work in a location that's convenient to this trail and looking forward to exploring it w/a group.  Thanks for hosting this ride.  Hope Mother Nature cooperates this week.

I have heard through the grapevine that BYT should be opened by this afternoon.  If so, we are going to do our ride.  Meeting at the parking lot about 530, and we are going to roll right at 6pm.  We "should" be done before it gets dark, but bring a light just in case it starts to get dark towards the end.

If you aren't going to be to the parking lot and ready to ride by 6pm, please text me at 585-978-1318 and we can wait, or find somewhere to meet you on the trail.

We are planning on doing the whole trail including the left side at the entrance.  We won't be riding the Marion Diehl side tonight.

Thanks,

Justin

Great turnout last night.  Looking forward to making this a regular ride.  If trail is open, see everyone there again next Monday at 5:30ish.  Rolling at 6pm.  Based on the group's interest we may go for a beverage afterwards.

Thanks,

Justin

Monday 4/7/14

Well YUCK!!  This weather sucks!!!  Obviously we aren't going to be able to ride tonight.  IF it is open, I am going to move the group ride for this week to Thursday

Thursday 4/10
Meet at Marion Deihl
Meet around 5:30pm
Rolling at 6pm

May do left loop first this time and if we have to, cut out last section depending on daylight.  Feel free to just meet us there OR if you can't be rolling by 6, or are running late, feel free to text me at 585-978-1318

Thanks,

Justin

Another great ride last night.  Thanks for those that came out.  Monday is looking iffy but we are going to plan on Monday 6pm for our next BYT ride.  I will update this on Monday if we are a go.
