Riding RRT for the first time today.  Any suggestions or warnings?   I plan to be there at 1200 if anybody wants to ride or just wants to laugh as I take wrong turns.

Also - is the parking clear?  Don't want to screw up by parking in the wrong place on private property.  Thanks

I am riding there at noon as well.  Something slightly faster than a social pace.  We will probably take the wet bypasses today.

Enjoyed the ride.  Fun trail and it was in great shape considering the recent rains.

Rob - thanks for playing the role of tour guide!

That is an understatement....

We rode the first wet bypass (Stayed on the main trail) and it was slick, but not horrible, but we avoided the second low area by taking the bypass.  The rest of the trail was perfect and tacky.

It was great to see Steve and the other trail gnomes making it even better.

I did two laps today, taking both bypasses each time, and it was incredibly shape.  Probably the cleanest my bike has come back home in months.

Awesome finally meeting Steve in person today too, as well as his brother Alan.  Super nice guys, make sure to drop your donations and tell them out amazing their trail is when you see them!

Glad I had a chance to meet some folks today. With the other area trails closed there were quite a few first timers sampling RRT. May have been a little climb shock in the air.
Good to see regulars out also getting a ride in.

For all of you I saw out on road bikes yesterday my hat is off to you that was brutal wind.

Steve, I was in the blue jersey, on the white bike and grunting loudly as I was trying to push my SS up the Gorge Climb. I didn't make it on my second lap, and told myself it was the wind, not my gut. I saw one of the trail mascots yesterday - about a 5 ft black rat snake. Good to see you yesterday, and love the trail, brother!

Ah yes Craig and I were amongst the roadies yesterday. Didn't realize it was that windy when we headed out.  Shocked

Robin and I were in the same boat so to speak Emily. One flat section I'm usually cruising 19-23 mph I was at 5-6 mph, and one gust actually pushed Robin off the road into the grass.

Another benefit of trail riding vs. road (#1 I won't get hit by a car)....Wind...I know, it is good to do when the trails are wet, I just love giving the roadies a hard time.  You know I  switch over to the dark side at some point...Cool

I managed to stay out of the grass but it was tough a few times. I was more worried about getting pushed into the path of a car.  Undecided

Steve - justed wanted to say thanks for opening up your land to riders.  This trail is what mountain biking is all about.!

Good to meet you at the trail head, too.  I was the one that spoke with you long enough for your brother to unload the truck!

Steve,

I chatted with you as I finished up this afternoon.  Thanks again for opening up your land.  Today was my first time but I am already planning to return with two friends.  Awesome trail!  Pretty sure I left a lung out there!!

Seems that the last week has brought a lot of people out to RRT for their first time. I'm not sure what has initiated it but you're welcome and hope you make return trips.

We are finally going to get a roof on the kiosk soon. Also plan on having a changing room soon as well.

I was out there tuesday for the first time and had a great time.  I spoke to you before heading in and wanted to let you know you guys have done a get job out there.  Those are some serious climbs and one day I hope to get up all of them.

Some people are like slinkies, not really good for anything, but they bring a smile to your face when pushed down the stairs.

Steve, see my pm about glass on the trail.

Trail in great shape today. This is second trip in 6 days and with some regular riding due to good riding weather this week, was a lot easier. I'm committed to ride RRT every week so I can improve my conditioning and climbing. Maybe will make all of No Name some day ....

Thanks for a great trail!!

Jim

The trail just keeps getting better and better.  The new technical rock drop thing is very reminiscent of PTent.  Although I went back and looked and I only saw 2 tire tracks in the softish landing.  Given I hit it yesterday and again this morning leads me to believe I am the only one enjoying the addition so far.  Cool Cool
