I am looking at replacing my saddle. Can I get some recommendations? I want something that will be comfortable on long rides.

Thanks
Erl

I have always like bontrager saddles. I ride an Evoke RL and love it. Bonus is they have a 30 day comfort guarantee

Avenir 300 series saddles are very comfy...not too narrow w/right amount of padding

Everybody is going to be different.  I can ride about anything on a mountain bike as I am moving around so much.  I like Fizik Arione on the road where I am sitting down and grinding all day.  Bontrager and maybe specialized have the 30 day thing.  I recommend trying that so you can return  it and get something else (will have to stay with the same brand).  You can also demo saddles at certain shops. I demo Fiziks before I bought.

Try a bunch.  Saddles are very rider specific.  Took me a while to find one that was good for me.  Find out what size you need.  Specialized makes a devise for measuring your backside.  Cycle Path as one.  After trying about 4 or 5 I settled on the WTB Volt.

Go to a specialized shop and sit on the gel pad that measures the width of your sit bones.  The measurement doesnt go along with height or weight.  Small light weight folks can need a wider saddle than big folks.  Once you know your required width, then you can narrow your search and mark a lot of options off your list.

Forget all of the above advice. A new app has been released, literally just came out today, that will take care of saddle selection for you. Check it out.
