Do what you like. Stop hating people for their riding habits and get back to hating them for their skin color, religion, politics, and sexual orientation.

Linus,
What did you end up getting???

I'm itching for a new motorcycle too.  I currently ride an Honda '08 CBR1000RR and a '03 ST1300.  I'm wanting to trade up my sport-tourer for something new (either a Triumph Trophy 1200 or a BMW R1200RT).

I'm also thinking about adding a third moto to the stable and want something I can ride off-road... On my short list is a KTM 690 Enduro R, Triumph Tiger 800XC or a BMW F800GS Adventure.

Ahhhh... always dreaming about two wheels.  Both mountain biking and of the motorized variety.

Take Care!
Brian

Hi Brain

Got me a R6. Now I need to learn how to ride it better. Track days coming up. You have a group you ride with?

What year R6 did you get?  If your interested in doing track days I have a set of blue painted hot bodies bodywork left over from when I used to go to the track.  Good condition and I would let them go cheep.

You should be happy on that R6!!!...  Great bike!

My kids are young (daughter is 4 and my son is 7), so I don't get much ride time these days other than commuting to work and meetings and running errands around town.  If the grocery list isn’t too big, I’ll even take the sport-tourer to go shopping (I have a top trunk in addition to side panniers).  With that said, I really don’t ride with anyone other than an rare overnight with some co-workers to ride in the mountains.

Keep the shiny side up and the rubber side down on that R6.  These gadgets people are using while driving makes motorcycle riding even more dangerous.  Without a doubt, you’re more likely to stay in one piece riding on the racetrack.

Be safe out there,
Brian
